The Sapling is a vanilla item obtained by harvesting leaves on trees, or dropped when leaves decay. Saplings can be planted and grown into the same kind of trees that dropped them. Applying Bone Meal will make the sapling grow instantly into a tree. Saplings can be used to craft Plantballs which is one step toward making Biofuel. They are also used to craft the Harvest Goddess Band.
