The Mining Laser is a powerful hand carried mining tool in the Tekkit mod pack. It is a ranged weapon with multiple firing modes for different purposes.

To change the firing mode press "M" and right click.

The Mining Laser stores 200,000 EU and can only be charged from a LapPack, MFE Unit, MFS Unit, or Charging bench.

It can also be used as a great weapon, thanks to its ability to set entities like mobs & players on fire.

You must be careful around wooden houses as it can be used to set the wood on fire.

Super-Heat	If the target can be smelted, the smelted product will be dropped instead of the block itself (eg, hit a iron ore block and an iron ingot will drop). Note: In v1.64 the mining laser will sometimes not fire in horizontal mode. Changing to a different mode restores it's function.

Super-Heat mode was added in 1.90.

If a super-heat laser is fired on a sand or cobble block, the block will be replaced with a glass/smooth stone block instead of dropping one. Doing so immediately terminates the beam.

When a super-heat laser is fired at a block such as smoothstone, where the 'normal' drop can be smelted into the block itself, the block will be dropped as if mined with a silk touch-enchanted tool.

When a super-heat laser is fired at a clay block, 4 brick items will be dropped.

Explosive mode cannot break obsidian.

    M but by default, Rei's minimap menu button is also M so change that in the minimap menu first then you should be able to change mode 2013-01-22T07:46:08Z
