Iridium Plates are a secret material in Industrial Craft 2, and can only be obtained with the use of UU-Matter. With Iridium Plates, you can craft Quantum Armor, which is arguably one of the most powerful armor sets in Tekkit, on par with Gem Armour. Its item ID is 30147.
