The Dark Matter Shovel is indestructible and is faster than a Diamond Shovel. In addition, by pressing the "V" key with it equipped, you can charge its special ability. By right-clicking on a block, you can destroy all dirt/sand-type blocks in a small-to-medium area on one altitude level depending on the charged level. The area destroyed is 3x3x1 when in charge level 1, and 5x5x1 in charge level 2. If you right-click on gravel with your shovel fully charged, then instead, it will destroy that gravel and all gravel near it, allowing you to easily clear large gravel pockets. Whether used to clear a layer or to clear a gravel pocket, this ability costs EMC (in the form of glowstone or redstone). When using this ability, all drops from the blocks cleared are dropped directly onto the player in the form of a Loot Ball, for easy collection.
